Description:
Stress Analyst to support the Orion Structures Organization. The candidate will provide support and development using stress analysis principles, classical stress analysis techniques, fatigue analysis, and finite element analysis tools (NASTRAN, IDEAS/FEMAP). Work location Denver, Colorado
Support Tasks Include:
1) Perform finite element and classical analysis of Crew Modules (CM), support structure and flight hardware.
2) Provide preliminary and final analyses, part sizing, fatigue/fracture assessment, drawing coordination and sign-off, test support, correlation, analysis presentations, and documentation of analyses for deliverable stress and fracture reports.
Experience Includes:
** Working knowledge of finite element analysis tools NASTRAN IDEAS/FEMAP
** NASTRAN experience preferred
** Familiarity with fatigue analysis
** Knowledge of stress analysis principle & classical stress analysis techniques.
** Aerospace industry experience
** Strong technical and communicative skills
